How to obtain Cardano / ADA
Before you get into staking your Cardano, first you will need to obtain some and store it in your own wallet.
Most major cryptocurrency exchanges will allow you to purchase ADA (the native token of Cardano) with other cryptocurrency or fiat currency (USD/UKP/AUD/etc). Most exchange wallets won't allow you to stake your ADA so once you have obtained some you will need to move it into a wallet that supports staking. It's also much safer than leaving your ADA in an exchange as you are in control of the wallet.
As with most types of cryptocurrency you will need to be sure to record and keep safe your seed phrases and passwords as there is no way to restore your coins if you lose your seed phrase.
